TechnoKids Intermediate Computer Curriculum is for children ages 11-13. In this set of projects, students acquire an understanding of productivity software applications.
The TechnoKids Intermediate Computer Curriculum is comprised of
twelve projects. Each project contains seven sessions that are approximately sixty minutes in length. A student workbook accompanies each teacher guide.
The themes for each project reinforces concepts being taught in the classroom such as space exploration, geographic locations, and famous people.

TechnoBiography: In this project, students construct
a "web-ography", which is an online biography about a
significant person. To start, they research their topic
using the Internet and other resources. Facts are organized
under headings such as childhood, education, career,
accomplishments, death, and interesting facts. Students use
their research to create a website. The site contains a
Home, Biography, Timeline, and Sources page. Upon completion
the web-ography is uploaded to the Internet.

TechnoCEO: In this project, students assume the role of a Chief Executive Officer. They must create a presentation for potential investors. An animated logo, organization chart, and financial information are combined on slides to report company performance.

TechnoCommercial: In
this project, students become media savvy by analyzing the
manipulation techniques used by advertisers and then using
them to make their own commercial using video equipment and
Windows Movie Maker. What is so exciting about this project
is that no high-tech devices are required. If your school
has a video camera, web cam, digital camera, or even nothing
at all, you can complete the activities.

TechnoEntrepreneur: In this project, students become restaurant owners. As entrepreneurs, their job is to form a business plan and then produce a report to potential investors. Following this, students design a blueprint of the restaurant layout and calculate earnings. This information is assembled into a newsletter that promotes the restaurant as a franchise opportunity.

TechnoInvestor: In this project, students become stockbrokers, who buy and sell stocks to earn money for their customers. TechnoNovel: In this project, students create a marketing tool for a novel. In the style of a movie trailer or teaser, an animated preview of the book is created to entice people to read. This preview includes an introduction to the characters, setting, and plot. Text, graphics, animation, transitions, and sound effects, are combined to produce a dazzling visual display of their novel.

project provides students with an introduction to the
computer. It contains various activities that will prepare
students for working in the computer lab. These activities
are intended to teach essential terminology, skills, and
knowledge. There is a lot to learn about the computer,
however, this introduction to the computer is not
exhaustive. Rather, it is intended to provide students with
a foundation for further learning.
